DESCRIPTION

An invitation and a challenge to embark on a journey of exploration into the country that is still unknown to us: the world, other people, and ourselves. Through the open horizon of the mind and soul, we are called to discover fragments and moments of existence, bursts of creation, through materials that carry life from the earth, the breath of the wind, and the spirit of water.

It is a journey of exploration into places that seem placeless and nonexistent, yet call us to encounter them, even if we feel we already know them. Guided by light, by the sun—the source of light and the cause of existence—we wander along the paths of thought and feeling in order to map “unknown” places, whether they belong to our own familiar “Earth” or to whatever land may be each person’s own “earth.”

These places—natural and metaphysical, transparent and immaterial, yet at the same time fleshly, tangible, and vulnerable—are places we all carry within our memories, our senses, and our hopes.

From their original womb to their many imprints within us, and through all their possible angles and corners, they can endlessly give rise to new places, open to new explorations.

In our own Odyssey through these unmapped places, we may discover many wondrous things—tender things, perhaps bitter things, yet all of them precious—if only we open our souls generously to the reflections of their light within us.
