DESCRIPTION
The featured works focus on physical transformation and the fragility and resilience of human constructs. Caleb LeFevre's immersive environments mirror the ways in which social and physical structures shape behavior, while Pavlos Liaretidis' sculptures reflect humanity's interventions in nature and their consequences. Ringo Lisko uses salvaged materials and durational processes to evoke memories and highlight themes of connection; Luis Alfonso Villalobos, meanwhile, combines modernist architecture with organic forms to challenge historical narratives. Finally, Simek's site-specific, newly-commissioned mural harnesses the subtle tensions between urban and typographic elements, revealing the subliminal impact of architectural form on human perception.
